Church Covenant
Having been led as we believe by the Spirit of God to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and on the profession of our faith having been baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. We do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, with sincerity and great joy, enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.
We engage, with the help of the Holy Spirit:
- To walk together in Christian love;
- To strive for the advancement of this church, in biblical knowledge, holiness and exemplary excellence;
- To promote the Church's prosperity, and its spirituality;
- To sustain our worship, ordinances, disciplines and doctrines to the mission of the church;
- To contribute cheerfully and consistently;
- To support the ministry, the expenses of the church, and the spreading of the Gospel message.
We also engage,
- To maintain family and personal devotion;
- To spiritually educate our children and to offer salvation to our relatives and acquaintances.
- To walk circumspectly in the world;
- To be honest in all dealings; and faithful to all commitments;
- To avoid negative thinking and negative actions;
- To strive to advance with commitment, courage and compassion, the Kingdom of God;
- To watch over each other in brotherly love;
- To remember each other in prayer;
- To cultivate Christian fellowship, having concern for one another, with a willing heart to aid in times of need.
We, moreover, engage that if we relocate to another place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with a bible teaching, bible believing church, endeavoring to continue the spirit of this covenant, and the principles of God’s Word. And now unto Him, who brought again from the dead, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, be Power and Glory forever. Amen.
